India is violating its obligations under international law: Francesca Albanese

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese presented a report to the UN Human Rights Council detailing systematic torture and enforced disappearances by Israel against Palestinians in detention centers and Gaza. The report, released on March 23rd, also documented over 18,500 arrests, including 1,500 children, since October 2023. Meanwhile, during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel in February, India signed a "Special Strategic Partnership" with the country, prompting criticism from Albanese, who believes India is violating international law by associating with Israel and its actions.
