Donald Trump’s representatives will return to Pakistan on Monday for another round of talks aimed at ending the US-Israeli war in Iran. The talks come after Iran reimposed restrictions on commercial shipping in the strait of Hormuz, reversing an agreement made hours before to reopen the strategic waterway. Trump, who has repeatedly threatened to destroy Iranian infrastructure if it does not agree to a deal, stated that any talks in Islamabad are the "last chance" for Iran to accept a peace agreement. Iran’s chief negotiator, parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, said there is no clear prospect of fruitful negotiations, while Pakistan’s foreign affairs ministry and Iran’s president have both expressed interest in continuing dialogue. The US envoy to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, believes a new round of talks will lead to an "incredibly consequential" outcome.
