Allahabad HC orders FIR against Rahul Gandhi in alleged dual citizenship case

The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court ordered the registration of an FIR and further investigation into allegations that Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, holds British citizenship. The petitioner, S. Vignesh Shishir, claimed that Mr. Gandhi declared his nationality as British in company documents and filings related to M/s Backops Ltd., which was incorporated in the United Kingdom in 2003. The court directed the state government to register a case and investigate through a central agency.
