Udhayanidhi Stalin’s assets: Madras High Court directs Director General of Income Tax to respond by April 20
The Madras High Court has ordered the Director General of Income Tax (Investigation) to respond to a writ petition alleging discrepancies in the assets declared by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin during elections. The court also directed notices to Mr. Udhayanidhi, Red Giant Movies Private Limited, and Snow Housing Private Limited. The petitioner, R. Kumaravel, argued that voters have a right to know the true details of candidates' assets before voting.
