Nitish Kumar, Bihar's Chief Minister, resigned from his post on April 14th to take up a seat in the Rajya Sabha. His successor, Samrat Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister and former State BJP president, is considered the frontrunner for the position. A new government is expected to be formed on April 15th following Kumar's resignation.
