BJP’s P.C. George criticises bishops, says FCRA amendment Bill will be passed

P.C. George, a BJP leader, criticized certain Catholic bishops for allegedly directing nuns to vote for the UDF in the Kerala Assembly election. He claimed that the bill amending the Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Act (FCRA) would be passed in the Lok Sabha and that the Church's concerns were politically motivated. He asserted that the government had discussed the issue with church representatives and urged them to disclose foreign funding details, but they were hesitant. George also accused some bishops of being aligned with the Congress and claimed his work in Erattupetta was a result of the BJP's support for it.
