Former AIADMK functionaries join TVK, fielded in Tirupattur and Cheyyar Assembly seats
Dusi K Mohan, a district secretary of the AIADMK in Tiruvannamalai, and N. Tirupathi, a former party functionary from Tirupattur, joined actor C. Joseph Vijay’s TVK and were fielded as candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Mohan was expelled by the AIADMK after his candidature announcement, while Tirupathi had previously expressed interest in contesting from Tirupattur but was allotted to the AMMK. Nallathambi, a DMK candidate, has been elected in both 2016 and 2021 for the Tirupattur constituency.
