T.N. Assembly election: DMK candidate list includes 60 fresh faces and 4 Mayors
The DMK released its list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections, retaining many Ministers and introducing 60 new faces. The list includes four Mayors, 19 women candidates, and nominees with diverse professional backgrounds, including doctors, engineers, advocates, and PhD holders. Senior Minister Duraimurugan will contest from Katpadi constituency, while R. Mahesh, N. Dinesh Kumar, Shan Ramanathan, and S. A. Sathya are among the Mayors entering the fray. Ministers dropped include R. Gandhi, Mano Thangaraj, and Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, with former Minister K. Ramachandran opting out due to health reasons.
