Former AIADMK leaders allotted DMK tickets
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has awarded tickets to several former members of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and their supporters for upcoming elections. O. Panneerselvam, a former Chief Minister, will contest from Bodinayakanur Assembly constituency while R. Vaithilingam will run in Orathanadu. Manoj Pandian has been chosen to represent Alangulam, having defeated a DMK candidate in the 2021 election. P. Palaniappan, a former AIADMK leader, has also received a ticket for Pappireddipatti. Thoppu N.D. Venkatachalam will contest from Perundurai after joining the DMK in 2021.
