Haasan expressed understanding for the DMK's recommendation to contest under the "Rising Sun" symbol but maintained his party's commitment to its supporters and their identity symbolized by the "Battery Torch". He will participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
