Rebuff to ‘self-styled Vishwaguru’, says Congress, on reports of Pakistan mediating in West Asia

The Congress party criticized the Modi government's foreign policy, claiming that India has been rebuffed by Pakistan's diplomatic engagement and narrative management. Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary in-charge communications, stated that reports suggest Pakistan is an intermediary between the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other. He also accused President Trump of cozying up to Asim Munir, the Pakistani military chief, and criticized Modi's visit to Israel for leading to a setback in India's position. The US has been reported to be in talks with an Iranian leader but refused to name them, while reports suggest Turkiye, Egypt, and Pakistan are facilitating communication between the two countries.
