Tamil Nadu Assembly election: AIADMK allots 27 seats to BJP, 18 to PMK
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been allocated 27 seats for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election, seven more than in 2021. The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) received 18 seats, five fewer than its previous allocation due to perceived waning strength. The AIADMK, led by Edappadi K. Palaniswami, announced the seat-sharing arrangement with the BJP and Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), which is headed by T.T.V. Dhinakaran. The parties are in talks with other potential allies, including the Tamil Maanila Congress (Moopanar).
