As many as 120 candidates filed nominations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala, with the deadline ending on March 23. The highest number of candidates (12) submitted papers for the Kalamassery constituency, while other constituencies saw varying numbers ranging from 5 to 9. Prominent figures who filed nominations include Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan, Thrikkakara MLA Uma Thomas, and Muvattupuzha MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan. Scrutiny will be held on March 24, with the withdrawal deadline set for March 26.
