Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar praised the founders of Pakistan and their vision for a separate homeland for Muslims. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and newly appointed Governor Nehal Hashmi called for national unity, emphasizing the need to uphold Quaid-e-Azam's principles. Pakistan Day commemorated the adoption of the Lahore Resolution on March 23, 1940.
