Congress releases final list of 7 candidates for Assam Assembly polls

Congress announced its final list of seven candidates for the Assam Assembly elections, bringing the total number of candidates to 101 out of 126 seats. The party's General Secretary, K.C. Venugopal, stated that the Central Election Committee selected the candidates. The announcement follows a series of releases, with the party leaving 15 seats for its alliance partner, Raijor Dal. The elections are scheduled for April 9th and will be followed by counting on May 4th.
