
BJP slams govt. approach to Musi rejuvenation project
N. Ramchander Rao, BJP president in Telangana, criticized the state government's Musi River rejuvenation plan, alleging displacement of residents without justification and prioritizing real estate over ecological restoration. Adviser on Water Policy and Management to the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Sriram Vedire, proposed an integrated approach encompassing all three stretches of the river, including protection of the Anantagiri forest and desilting upstream tanks. He also recommended flood risk mapping and alternative water sources for affected villages.
