Kerala Assembly Elections 2026: Segments under Vadakara LS seat could see some keen contests
The upcoming elections in the Vadakara Lok Sabha constituency are expected to be closely contested, with the Left Democratic Front (LDF) holding an advantage in several Assembly segments. K.P. Kunhammad Kutty of the CPI(M) won Kuttiyadi and Nadapuram in 2016 and 2021 respectively, while E.K. Vijayan of the CPI won in Nadapuram in 2016 and 2021. The UDF is hoping to capitalize on its recent local body election success and the popularity of Shafi Parambil, the Vadakara MP, as well as the organizational strength of the IUML and RMPI in these areas. The LDF is relying on the support of traditional voters and the state government's development initiatives.
