The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) is set to decide on seat-sharing with the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) at its State committee meeting in Chennai. M.A. Baby, the CPI(M)'s general secretary, is attending the meeting where the party will discuss their demand for at least six seats contested in the previous Assembly election, a number that DMK is unwilling to concede. The two parties have already held three rounds of talks but haven't reached an agreement.
