Government response to West Asia conflict driven by supreme national interest: RSS

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has defended the Centre's handling of the ongoing West Asia conflict, stating that New Delhi is acting in the "supreme interest of the nation." Dattatreya Hosabale, the RSS general secretary, expressed this view during a speech at the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Samalakha, Haryana. He emphasized that while he doesn't analyze the reasons behind wars, the organization believes the government is doing what is best for the nation. Hosabale also stated that trade and commerce require relationships with individuals across the globe, adding that the RSS supports the government's actions. He acknowledged that people have varying sentiments regarding the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, but believes mourning should be done peacefully. He further noted that expressing grief shouldn't lead to unrest in India. Hosabale also highlighted the significant growth in RSS activities across various regions of India. The number of shakhas (gatherings) has increased by nearly 6,000, reaching over 88,000, while locations for these gatherings have expanded to more than 55,000. This expansion includes the presence of RSS shakhas in remote tribal regions and islands like the Andaman Islands.
