Congress leaders burn effigy of KTR; MLC Balmoor Venkat asks KTR to undergo drug test

Congress activists led by MLC Balmoor Venkat burned an effigy of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, accusing him of promoting a "drug culture" in Telangana. Speaking to the media, Mr. Venkat reiterated his earlier challenge to Mr. Rama Rao to undergo a "white test" (drug test), citing recent incidents that he claimed had raised serious questions about the BRS leader's involvement with drug networks. He referenced the recent raid on BRS former MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy’s farmhouse and subsequent FIR filing, suggesting links between certain leaders and drug operations. Mr. Venkat alleged that members of the previous ruling party had been caught with drugs by enforcement teams. He challenged Mr. Rama Rao to respond to this incident, stating that if he dared, his answer would be clear. Meanwhile, TPCC General Secretary Chanagani Dayakar demanded a clear explanation from Mr. Rama Rao regarding the alleged drug party involving a former MLA. He also stated that the BRS should face consequences if individuals associated with it were found encouraging drug-related activities.
