BJP seeks action against LPG agencies for creating artificial shortage in Andhra Pradesh
P. V. N. Madhav, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Andhra Pradesh, has urged the state government to investigate gas agencies for creating artificial shortages and imposing extra fees on consumers. He spoke with Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who assured him that the Union government is taking steps to maintain uninterrupted gas supply. The situation is partly due to global fuel supply disruptions caused by tensions between Iran and Israel, but Madhav also alleged some agencies are exploiting the situation for profit.
