
Srinagar court issues non-bailable warrant against Farooq Abdullah in J&K cricket scam

A court in Srinagar issued a non-bailable warrant against Dr. Farooq Abdullah, president of the National Conference (NC), in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam case. The court rejected an application for exemption from appearing due to Dr. Abdullah's absence. The court has scheduled further proceedings for March 30th after finding prima facie evidence against him under various sections of the Ranbir Penal Code. The CBI has already filed a chargesheet against Dr. Abdullah and others involved in the alleged scam.
