Dy. SP seniority revision under way; promotions to follow committee report: Parameshwara

Home Minister G. Parameshwara announced that a committee is reviewing the seniority list of Deputy Superintendents of Police (Dy. SPs) eligible for promotion to non-IPS posts, following court directions. The revision process will be completed once the committee submits its report. Mr. Parameshwara stated that the 20:80 ratio in the Police Department's recruitment and promotion system aims to provide opportunities for both direct recruits and promoted officers.
