The Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Hyderabad zonal office, has provisionally attached 50 immovable properties worth ₹29.76 crore belonging to Dr. Namratha, the alleged mastermind behind an illegal surrogacy and child trafficking racket, through her clinic, Universal Srusthi Fertility and Research Centre. The properties include land parcels, flats, and a hospital held in the names of Dr. Namratha and her sons. The investigation was initiated on the basis of multiple FIRs registered at the Gopalapuram police station for offences including fraud, cheating, criminal conspiracy, illegal surrogacy, and child trafficking.
