Surendran’s possible candidature reportedly sparks differences in BJP’s Manjeswaram unit

BJP district president M.L. Ashwini has reportedly demanded to be relieved of her role as Manjeswaram constituency in-charge, citing concerns over lack of communication and inadequate cooperation from some leaders. She also expressed dissatisfaction with the unilateral decision making by NDA Manjeswaram constituency convener Vijayakumar Rai. While K. Surendran, a former State president, has reportedly stepped up his activities in the constituency, suggesting he may contest from Manjeswaram, Ashwini denied reports of a rift within the party and stated that the final decision on the candidate would be made by the state leadership.
