‘When people hear H-1B…’: Investigative journalist weighs in on immigration policy and displacement of local workers

Kellen McGovern Jones, an investigative reporter for The Dallas Express, will speak at a Coppell Republican Women event on Thursday evening about the impact of federal H-1B visa policy on Texas communities. Jones's presentation examines how companies and academic institutions utilize the program, as well as proposed reforms by lawmakers and the US President Donald Trump administration. He has also investigated the intersection of immigration with federal housing programs and historical use of the H-1B program. Jones's reporting will be followed by a question-and-answer session for attendees.
