BJP claims ₹39,000 crore of SCSP-TSP funds diverted for guarantee schemes in Karnataka
Rajkumar Patil, a BJP leader, accused the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government in Karnataka of misusing funds allocated for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) under the SCSP and TSP. He alleged that over ₹39,000 crore allocated for these schemes during the past three years has been diverted to other programs benefiting all communities instead of marginalized sections. Patil demanded the government publicly declare its commitment to using SCSP-TSP funds exclusively for welfare of SCs and STs, return misused funds, and allocate additional resources for their development.
