Congress candidates Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vem Narender Reddy are expected to be elected unanimously for the two vacancies in the Rajya Sabha from Telangana. They were the only ones to file proper nomination papers with 10 proposers, while an independent candidate, Sai, had his papers rejected due to incomplete documentation. The scrutiny of nominations will take place on March 6th and the results will be announced on March 9th. Both candidates were accompanied by a large delegation of party leaders during their submission of nomination papers.
