The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) formally announced Sharad Pawar as its sole candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha election in Maharashtra, potentially leading to an unopposed contest. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) nominated Nitin Nabin as its candidate from Bihar.
