Congress will name Rajya Sabha candidate when filing nomination: Himachal CM

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the name of the Congress candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh will be revealed on March 5th, the last day for filing nominations. The election is required as BJP MP Indu Goswami's term ends on March 16th. The Congress faces a challenge to overcome its loss in the previous Rajya Sabha election where six of their MLAs cross-voted for the BJP candidate. The party is considering several names, including former Union Minister Anand Sharma and former State president Pratibha Singh.
