DVAC may file review against order to register FIR in cash for jobs scam in K.N. Nehru’s department, A-G tells Madras High Court

P.S. Raman, Advocate General of Tamil Nadu, stated that the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) is considering filing a review petition against the February 20, 2026 order to register an FIR regarding the alleged cash for jobs scam in Minister K.N. Nehru's department. The DVAC was ordered by the Madras High Court to register the FIR "forthwith" after the AIADMK Rajya Sabha member I.S. Inbadurai filed a contempt of court petition against former DVAC director A.T. Durai Kumar for alleged disobedience. The court directed the DVAC to file a detailed response within two weeks and adjourned the hearing.
