About 200 persons have called Karnataka government seeking help
Karnataka is working to bring back its citizens stranded in West Asia due to flight cancellations following escalating tensions. The State Emergency Operations Centre has received over 200 calls from Kannadigas seeking assistance, with 37 flights canceled at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport and 11 at Mangaluru International Airport. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar condemned the attack on Iran that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while the state government has appointed its Resident Commissioner in Delhi to coordinate with the Ministry of External Affairs for their safe return.
