Residents of Alipur village in Karnataka are mourning the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader, with a protest march and three days of mourning organized by the Anjuman e Jafaria Committee. The village, home to nearly 25,000 people, where 90% are Shia Muslims, has seen shops shut voluntarily and residents gathering for prayers.
