
BJP-AGP poll deal likely by March 10: Assam CM Himanta
Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Chief Minister, stated that the BJP will engage in friendly contests with its allies for seats where disputes remain unresolved. He hopes to finalize seat-sharing agreements with the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) by March 10th, aiming for the Assembly elections before mid-month Rongali or Bohag Bihu. The Chief Minister also announced a "Jan Ashirwad Yatra" starting on February 28th to connect with voters across 50 seats in Assam.
