The Allahabad High Court granted interim protection from arrest to Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, head of the Jyotirmath monastery, and his disciple, Swami Mukundanand Giri, who are facing allegations of sexually assaulting two minors. The court directed both accused to cooperate with the ongoing investigation while reserving its order on interim bail for a later hearing on March 12th. The case stems from an FIR registered following directions from a special court in Prayagraj, where Ashutosh Brahmachari and two other minors alleged sexual abuse.
