Post-mortem report confirms internal bleeding caused leopard’s death in Kannur

The Forest department confirmed that internal bleeding leading to hypovolemic shock caused the death of a leopard found at Palathumkadavu in Ayyankunnu. Forest officials conducted a post-mortem, following NTCA guidelines, and ruled out any external objects. The leopard was attacked by the animal while being inspected by beat forest officer K. Rahul, who sustained injuries during the incident.
