Govt. urged to order comprehensive probe into building collapse in Kozhikode

The Kozhikode Corporation Council unanimously urged the State government to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the building collapse that killed four workers. The council demanded ₹25 lakh each in compensation for the families of the deceased and government jobs for their dependents, with Mayor O. Sadasivan consolidating two separate resolutions. The meeting also saw disagreements over the initial aid provided, with BJP member T. Reneesh criticizing its inadequacy, while UDF councillor Fathima Tahliya demanded a sitting judge's involvement in the investigation.
