Andhra Pradesh police arrested M. Sunil Kumar Naik, a former CID DIG and 2005 batch IPS officer, in Bihar for his alleged role in the custodial torture of former Narsapuram Parliament Member K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju. Mr. Naik was accused as part of a case filed by Mr. Raju on July 11, 2024, under various charges including attempt to murder and causing grievous hurt. The arrest follows a complaint lodged with the Nagarampalem police in Guntur district.
