Indian envoy calls on Bangladesh FM, discusses strengthening multifaceted bilateral relations

India's High Commissioner in Dhaka, Pranay Verma, stated that India looks forward to engaging with the new government in Bangladesh. Verma met with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed, reiterating India's desire to strengthen people-centric cooperation in all domains. This follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's congratulatory message to Tarique Rahman after the BNP's victory in the February 12 elections. Verma also highlighted India's commitment to support a democratic, progressive and inclusive Bangladesh.
