'Done deal': CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on NDA seat-sharing for Assam polls
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that the seat-sharing arrangement within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the Assam assembly elections is finalized. The NDA comprises the BJP, AGP, UPPL, BPF, and RHJSS, while JP does not have any MLAs. The finalization of the seat sharing agreement is expected to be completed by February 15th after which the state leadership will meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah with the list of probable candidates. The elections are anticipated in March-April.
