All accused in father-son duo murder during Bemetara communal violence acquitted

A sessions court in Chhattisgarh acquitted all 17 men arrested for the murders of Raheem Ummad Mohammad and his son, Idul Mohammad, during communal violence in Bemetara district in 2023. The incident occurred after a scuffle between two minors escalated into communal violence between the majority and minority communities, fueled by rumors of Hindu victims being beaten up by Muslims.
