Telangana Municipal Chairpersons elected, Councillors and Corporators sworn in
Telangana municipalities and municipal corporations elected their leaders on February 16, 2026, with indirect elections scheduled for February 17th. The election results followed the vote counting of the 2,996 wards in 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations held on February 11th. Congress candidates were elected as Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons in several municipalities, including Sangareddy and Nirmal. The term for elected members is five years.
