Bangladesh: PM Modi receives invite to attend Tarique Rahman’s swearing-in ceremony
Bangladesh has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected BNP Chief Tarique Rahman on February 17th. However, Mr. Modi is expected to decline the invitation due to prior commitments in Mumbai and Delhi. He will be attending bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and chairing the AI Impact summit. Bangladesh's Interim advisor Muhammad Yunus extended the invitation through diplomatic channels. Other regional leaders are also expected to attend, including Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay.
