Jagga Reddy defends his actions, alleges police misconduct

T. Jagga Reddy, a senior Congress leader, claimed that police misconduct provoked his aggressive behavior at a polling booth in Sangareddy. He alleged that a Circle Inspector assaulted a Congress worker near the booth and that he was humiliated by the officer while acting in favor of an opposition candidate. Reddy stated that he would not lodge a complaint with senior officials as it wouldn't undo the humiliation suffered by his party worker, but asserted that if either he or the police officer violated election rules, they should face legal action. He also accused K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), of circulating false accusations against him on social media.
