K.R. Puram MLA Byrathi Basavaraj, of the BJP, was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at Kempegowda international airport after he arrived from his trip to escape questioning in connection with the 'Biklu' Shiva murder case. The arrest followed a High Court rejection of his bail plea and an earlier request for him to surrender, which he had avoided. The CID will now seek police custody for further investigation.
