The Supreme Court declined to intervene in a Karnataka High Court decision denying anticipatory bail to BJP MLA B.A. Basavaraj, who is accused of involvement in the July 2025 murder of realtor-cum-rowdy-sheeter Shivaprakash alias Bikla Shiva.
