
T.N. CM Stalin extends free meal scheme to another one lakh conservancy workers in civic bodies
M.K. Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, expanded the state's free meal program to benefit an additional 100,000 sanitation workers in urban local bodies (ULBs). The expansion will provide meals for workers in 24 corporations, 145 municipalities, and 479 town panchayats. The program was previously launched in the Greater Chennai Corporation last year, benefiting 29,455 workers. Stalin stated his government would continue to support sanitation workers with housing, loan assistance, life insurance, and education for their children.
