Hubballi skies get dotted with kites of myriad sizes, colour

The two-day International Kite Festival began in Hubballi, with Basavaraj Horatti, Chairman of the Karnataka Legislative Council, and Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, inaugurating the event by flying kites. Mr. Joshi highlighted the importance of preserving Indian culture through indigenous games like kite flying, which is part of a larger 'Samsadara Kreeda Mahotsava' initiative that has been held annually since 2019. Kite flyers from across the country and abroad participated, expressing enthusiasm for new designs.
