Maharashtra declares three-day mourning on passing of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a three-day mourning and a holiday on January 28th following the death of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash. Mr. Pawar, along with four others, died when their aircraft crashed in Pune district. Fadnavis expressed grief and said he would travel to Baramati to meet the family. Eknath Shinde, who served alongside Ajit Pawar, also mourned his passing and pledged a thorough investigation into the accident.
