India has ‘concluded’ a ‘historic’ FTA with the EU: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the conclusion of a historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union, marking the end of nearly two decades of negotiations. The deal, which was revived in 2022, will reduce tariffs for Indian exporters and boost investment between the two regions. The agreement also includes a new Security and Defence Partnership and a mobility system to facilitate legal movement of Indians to the EU region.
